The solenoid valve usually has heating problems when in use. Generally, this problem is caused by the solenoid valve working for too long. However, as long as it is within the normal temperature range, it will not affect the normal operation of the solenoid valve. However, if the temperature is too high, it will affect the working efficiency of the solenoid valve and even damage the parts of the product and burn the coil.
When the iron core cannot be smoothly attracted when energized, the inductance of the coil will decrease, the impedance will decrease, and the current will increase accordingly, which will cause the current passing through the coil to be too large, shortening the life of the product. Therefore, when problems such as oil stains, impurities and deformation occur, the activity of the iron core will be hindered, the movement will be slow when energized, and it may not be completely closed. If the current passing through the coil is too large, the coil will heat up.
Before using the solenoid valve, you can check the quality of the solenoid valve and use a multimeter to measure the resistance of the solenoid valve. Under normal circumstances, the resistance of the coil should be around 1k ohms. But if the resistance of the coil is infinite, it means that the coil is short-circuited and needs to be replaced with a new one.
Causes and solutions for coil heating:
1. Check whether the temperature of the solenoid valve coil is within the temperature range suitable for the product. It is normal for the coil to heat up a little, as long as it does not exceed the specified temperature.
2. There was a mistake in choosing the type of solenoid valve. Solenoid valves are divided into normally closed and normally open types. If a normally closed solenoid valve is selected under the normally open condition, the coil will be overused and overheated. The model of the solenoid valve needs to be changed.
3. Overload work means that the actual working environment of the solenoid valve exceeds the working environment range designed for the solenoid valve product. For example, the ambient temperature and medium temperature are too high, or the pressure is too high and the power supply voltage has problems.
4. If the coil of the solenoid valve is equipped with an energy-saving protection module (the function of the energy-saving module is to save energy and cool the solenoid valve coil), and this energy-saving protection module fails, it will also cause the coil to heat up.
