The use of solenoid valves is very common nowadays. As long as you have the basic product specifications, you can buy a suitable solenoid valve.
Common connection methods for solenoid valves include flange connection, welded pipe connection and threaded connection. Among them, threaded connection is the most commonly used connection method, especially below DN50, which is basically used. However, due to different standards in different countries, there are several types of threads, the most common ones are G thread, NPT thread and PT thread.
G thread is a 55-degree non-threaded sealed pipe thread, which belongs to the Whitworth thread family. The mark G represents cylindrical thread. The usual unit is inches. Since G thread is a non-sealed pipe thread, it is generally sealed by O-rings or gaskets.

2.NPT thread is the abbreviation of National (American) Pipe Thread, which is a US standard 60-degree tapered pipe thread, mainly used in North America. They include tapered and straight thread series for various purposes, including rigidity, pressure, sealing, or both. The taper on NPT threads enables them to twist and form a seal when the sides of the threads are pressed against each other.

3. PT thread (BSPT) is the abbreviation of Pipe Thread, which is a 55-degree sealed tapered pipe thread. It belongs to the Whitworth thread family and is mostly used in Europe and Commonwealth countries. It is often used in the water and gas pipe industries with a taper of 1:16. China usually calls it ZG.
BSP thread is often considered to be G thread, but in fact there is a little difference. BSP thread is a British standard pipe thread, which belongs to Whitworth thread and has a tooth angle of 55°. According to the appearance, it is also divided into two types of cylindrical pipe threads BSPP (British Standard Pipe Parallel) and tapered pipe threads BSPT (British Standard Pipe Taper).
With the beginning of ISO standardization, BSPP is uniformly called G thread.
BSPT is PT thread, which is replaced by R in the new standard.
Rp-British cylindrical internal thread
Rs-British cylindrical external thread
Rc-British conical internal thread
R1-British conical external thread
R2-British conical external thread
So G thread is included in BSP thread.
