Pneumatic systems are now a very important and indispensable part of the automation field.
Pneumatic systems are industrial systems that use gas as a power source and working medium. The air compressor in the pneumatic system absorbs the air and stores it in the air tank. The pressure is increased by compressing the air volume. The control valve then delivers the compressed air to the corresponding actuator through the pneumatic hose. Then the specified task requirements are achieved.
Pneumatic systems use clean and dry air as a power source. Compared with industrial systems that use electric motors or internal combustion engines as power sources, pneumatic systems are very suitable for working in harsh manufacturing environments. Moreover, when pneumatic systems are combined with electronic control systems, they can perform very effective movements, and mechanical operations can perform repetitive actions. However, compared with electronic systems, pneumatic systems cannot perform high-frequency repetitive operations. Compressed air is the main power source, so the pressure and volume of compressed air will affect the efficiency of the pneumatic system. When the ambient temperature is too cold or too hot, the volume of compressed air will also shrink or expand, and the working accuracy of the pneumatic system will be affected.
In the field of mobile equipment, since hydraulic systems or electromechanical systems are usually bulky and require sufficient electricity to provide a power source, they are not suitable for mobile equipment, so light and simple pneumatic systems are often used in mobile equipment.
In portable robots, it can be automated with a simple electronic control system and a compact pneumatic system.
For workers, when using an air gun to work, as long as the pressure of the compressed air is sufficient, the work can continue in the event of a power outage. Therefore, the pneumatic system has the advantages of high adaptability, high reliability, high portability, and low price.
