Solenoid valve care and maintenance

  • 40

Solenoid valves are common in our daily work. Because of their advantages such as easy installation, portability and compactness, they are used in many industries. Although the cost of solenoid valves is relatively low, if they are not maintained, there will be more or less losses during replacement. Therefore, the solenoid valve also needs good maintenance.
The following are some methods for maintaining solenoid valves:
1. Solenoid valve maintenance starts with its installation. Solenoid valve installation is a very critical point. We need to understand how to install the solenoid valve and the correct installation method, including cleaning before installation. The installation location must be protected from water. Installation Stable and fixed to prevent the solenoid valve from vibrating and falling off. The installation and use environment should be safe. Non-explosion-proof series solenoid valves should be used in non-flammable and explosive places.
2. After the solenoid valve is installed, the medium needs to be introduced for testing and testing. Only after confirming that the performance and control of the solenoid valve are normal can it be put into normal use.
3. Cleaning of the solenoid valve: Regularly clean the dirt adsorbed inside and outside the solenoid valve, but be careful not to damage the sealing surface; if it is not used for a long time, the solenoid valve should be removed, and its internal parts should be cleaned and blown before storage.
4. When used for a long time, if the seal between the piston and the valve seat is not good, the piston sealing surface can be ground again and then ground with the valve seat.
5. It is recommended to install a filter and a pressure gauge in front of the valve. The filter can ensure that the pipeline of the solenoid valve is clean and no impurities enter. The pressure gauge can know the pressure of the pipeline in time, reducing damage to the solenoid valve caused by excessive pressure, thereby extending the service life.
6. During the operation of the solenoid valve, special attention should be paid to the pressure gauge. The working pressure difference must be within the range of the rated pressure difference. When the working pressure exceeds the rated pressure or the working pressure difference exceeds the rated difference, immediately stop using the solenoid valve and check before and after closing. manual valve to avoid leakage of the solenoid valve or unnecessary losses.
7. Solenoid valve maintenance is actually very simple. As long as we pay attention to it during daily use, it can fully play a greater role. However, it is worth reminding that ordinary solenoid valves should not be placed in explosive environments. If used If the working environment and medium contain flammable and explosive substances, then an explosion-proof solenoid valve must be selected.
8. When the solenoid valve is not used for a long time, the manual valve in front of the valve should be closed. When re-activated, the steam solenoid valve should drain out the condensed water and perform a test operation several times. It should be put into use after the switch is normal.
9. Dirt inside and outside the large valve and the suction surface of the armature should be cleaned regularly. Be careful not to damage the sealing surface.
10. After the solenoid valve is installed, the medium must be introduced and tested several times to confirm that it is normal before it can be put into formal use.
11. When working, pay attention to the pressure gauges before and after the valve. The working pressure must not exceed the rated pressure, and the working pressure difference must be within the rated pressure difference range. When the working pressure exceeds the rated pressure or the working pressure difference exceeds the rated pressure difference, the solenoid valve must be stopped and the front and rear manual valves must be closed to prevent explosion and leakage of the solenoid valve.
12. When used for a long time, if the seal between the piston and the valve seat is not good, the piston sealing surface can be ground again and then ground with the valve seat.
13. Solenoid valves are generally installed horizontally. If installed on the side, it may cause the valve to not close tightly, that is, internal leakage, so try to avoid side installation.
14. For pilot-operated solenoid valves, check whether the pressure difference in the pipeline is too small. If the pressure difference is too small, the solenoid valve will not work properly. In this case, a direct-acting solenoid valve needs to be selected. If the pressure difference is too large, far exceeding the design value of the solenoid valve, and it cannot work normally, a high-pressure solenoid valve should be used.

15. It is recommended that the user unit assign a dedicated person to be responsible for use and maintenance.
